We’re excited to reveal one of our favorite kitchen remodels to date, where warmth, elegance, and functionality come together in a beautifully crafted design. This project highlights the perfect blend of timeless materials and cozy details, creating a kitchen that feels both inviting and luxurious. The homeowners wanted a space that balanced classic design elements with modern touches, and we achieved this by layering rich textures, warm tones, and thoughtful details. We successfully transformed a cramped and outdated space into a functional and stylish haven.
Design Inspiration
The inspiration for this kitchen came from a desire to create a warm and inviting space that was both functional and beautiful. We wanted to incorporate a mix of traditional and modern elements to create a timeless look.
Selections
The foundation of the design starts with white shaker cabinetry, a timeless choice that provides a clean and fresh look while offering plenty of storage. The simplicity of the shaker style creates a canvas that pairs beautifully with other design elements, allowing the materials and finishes to stand out without overwhelming the space.
For the countertops, we selected quartz with warm gray veins, designed to look like marble but offering the durability and low maintenance of quartz. The subtle veining in the countertops adds a touch of sophistication, complementing the cabinetry while creating a gentle contrast that adds depth and character to the kitchen.
One of the standout features of this design is the zellige backsplash tile, a handmade Moroccan tile that brings an artisanal feel to the space. The irregular surface and soft sheen of the tiles reflect light beautifully, adding texture and a handcrafted quality that enhances the warm, inviting atmosphere. The backsplash adds an understated elegance while seamlessly blending with the surrounding elements.
To add warmth and richness, we chose white oak flooring, which provides a natural, grounding element to the kitchen. The soft, warm tones of the oak create a cozy ambiance, perfectly balancing the crisp white cabinetry and cool quartz surfaces.
Bringing in vintage charm and warmth, we incorporated unlacquered brass hardware throughout the kitchen. This choice adds an old-world touch, as unlacquered brass naturally patinas over time, giving the kitchen a lived-in, timeless appeal. The vintage-style brass bridge faucet over the sink is a showpiece in itself, adding both function and style. Paired with brass pendant lights hanging elegantly over the peninsula, these accents tie the entire space together, bringing warmth and a touch of luxury. We used a combination of pendant lights and recessed lighting to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in the kitchen. The pendant lights add a touch of personality, while the recessed lighting provides ample task lighting.
This kitchen is both functional and stylish. The Rev-a-Shelf cabinet organization system helps to maximize storage space, and the white oak-inspired LVT flooring is both durable and easy to clean. The Kohler brass faucet is a stunning finishing touch that adds a touch of luxury.
